Out of 512 teams, the 10 finalist teams aiming to increase efficiency in linehaul transportation within the logistics sector are presenting their projects to the jury at the final held in Sancaktepe, Istanbul.

Objective of the Competition and Participation Process

The event, which aims to increase the efficiency of linehaul transportation in the logistics sector, seeks to develop hybrid solutions combining artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mathematical optimization techniques.

A total of 512 teams and 1,677 individuals applied for the competition, which attracted interest from university students, recent graduates, and private sector participants.

Dynamic Optimization and Forecasting Models

Competitors are developing models that predict variable cargo demands using artificial intelligence algorithms to achieve the lowest-cost distribution between fixed and flexible vehicle pools.

Thanks to the map-based Decision Support Interface developed, rental vehicle routes, spot vehicle assignments, and consolidation decisions are visualized and translated into real operational processes.

Final Evaluation Criteria

In the final stage, teams are evaluated based on optimization success on a live dataset at 40 percent, dashboard and visualization performance at 20 percent, and jury defense at 40 percent.

Jury members score the participants by examining various technical criteria, ranging from algorithm architecture to machine learning-based forecasting success.

Physical Final Excitement in Sancaktepe

The final and presentation stage of the competition is taking place physically on August 29 at the Hepsiburada Technology Center located in Sancaktepe, Istanbul.

Throughout the day, the finalist teams are competing against each other by defending the innovative solutions they have prepared in front of the jury.

Award Distribution and Young Talents

As a result of the competition, a total cash prize of 370 thousand TL is awarded to the top-ranking teams, with the first place team winning 150 thousand TL, the second place team 120 thousand TL, and the third place team 100 thousand TL.

Young technology developers find the opportunity to produce innovative solutions to complex real-life operational problems and test their models under changing conditions.
