The organizing committee of the 16th City-Level Technical Innovation Competition 2026 held a jury meeting to evaluate the 109 project applications submitted this year.

Scope and Fields of the Competition

This year's competition features the fields of information technology, electronics and telecommunications; mechanics, automation, construction and transportation; materials, chemistry and energy.

Additionally, projects were submitted in six different areas: agriculture, forestry, fishery, resources and environment; medicine and pharmaceuticals; and education and training.

Jury Panels and Application Distribution

The Standing Committee of the competition has established seven expert jury panels across six fields to examine the 109 submitted applications.

Education and training became the field with the highest number with 45 applications, followed by medicine and pharmacy with 20 applications.

Sectoral Application Distribution

While 15 applications came from the information technology, electronics and telecommunications sector, there were 12 projects in the field of mechanics, automation, construction and transportation.

The agriculture, forestry, fishery, resources and environment field was represented by 11 applications, and the materials, chemistry and energy field by 6 applications.

Award Structure and Distribution

The award structure of the competition consists of a total of 52 awards with an award distribution rate of 47.7%.

Of these awards, 22 belong to the education and training sector, 10 to the medicine and pharmacy sector, and the remaining 20 to the other four sectors.
