385 Young Competitors Compete in the National Robotics Innovation Competition Northern Regional Round
The event, held at the Thai Binh Pedagogy College Multi-Purpose Sports Hall, featured fierce competition across three different categories.
The Northern Regional Round of the 6th National Robotics Innovation Competition 2026 was successfully concluded with the participation of 385 contestants from 10 provinces and cities, advancing the top performers to the finals.
Opening Ceremony and Hosting
Organized jointly by the Center for Science, Technology and Young Talent Development under the Central Youth Union and the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union, the event took place at the Thai Binh Pedagogy College Multi-Purpose Sports Hall in Tra Ly Ward.
Theme of the Competition
The organization was held under the main theme "Vietnam Stepping Steadily into a New Era," allowing young participants to showcase their technological skills.
Category Distributions and Participation
A total of 212 teams and 385 contestants from 10 provinces and cities in the northern region gathered across three different categories to compete with robots in a simulated environment.
Primary School Level R1 Category
The R1 Category, organized for primary school-level students, drew attention as the category with the highest participation rate, featuring 119 teams and 212 contestants.
Middle and High School Categories
The R2 Category for middle school level featured 81 teams and 152 contestants, while the R3 Category for high school level saw participation from 12 teams and 21 contestants.
The Path to the National Finals
Following the completion of the Northern Regional Round, outstanding teams from three distinct regions—North, Central, and South—will earn the right to compete in the national finals scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of October 2026.
