A 10-point innovation and reform-focused package proposal announced for Turkish football
A comprehensive innovation package seeking solutions to the structural problems of Turkish football has been prepared. Technology and transparency are highlighted through the proposed reforms.
Uğur Meleke presented a technology-weighted 10-point innovation and reform package aimed at finding remedies for the chronic problems of Turkish football.
R&D and Technology Investments
It was emphasized that 10 percent of the TFF's annual budget should be allocated to R&D studies and an innovation package that will serve as an example to FIFA should be implemented. It was demanded that an electronic line system be installed on all lines of the stadiums.
On-Pitch Technological Developments
It was requested that the chipped ball application and the semi-automated offside system be fully integrated within the Super Lig. By cooperating with university technoparks, it is planned to measure the intensity of contact via cleats and jerseys.
Refereeing and Justice Regulations
Stating that innovation must be made in referee management, it was proposed to bring an international-level instructor to the MHK presidency and to transition to a curator system.
Management and Congress Structure
It was demanded that the TFF congress abandon its current structure of 320 delegates, increasing the number of delegates to 10,000 and transforming the management approach of football.
