A Joint Roadmap is Being Prepared for Kütahya Tiles
At a workshop organized for Kütahya's traditional tiles under the coordination of the Zafer Development Agency, many issues from production to marketing are addressed to outline a joint roadmap.
Tile art, one of Kütahya's deeply rooted handicrafts, has been selected as the product to represent the city within the framework of the "Anatolians: 81 Provinces 81 Products Program." Strategic steps are being taken for the future of the tile sector through a workshop held under the coordination of the Zafer Development Agency.
Scope and Objective of the Program
Carried out under the coordination of the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the program aims to strengthen local production by highlighting the unique cultural values of the provinces.
A Broadly Participatory Workshop Was Held
Public institutions, local governments, universities, non-governmental organizations, and sector representatives participated in the meeting hosted by the Zafer Development Agency.
Production and Quality Standards
During focus group studies, topics such as improving production processes, increasing quality and standardization, and strengthening craftsmanship standards were addressed in detail.
Design and Product Diversity
During the meeting, proposals regarding the development of original designs, increasing product variety, and raising the commercialization potential of the sector were evaluated.
Branding and Marketing Opportunities
Branding, tourism, export opportunities, and cooperation possibilities were discussed in order to increase the recognition of tile products in national and international markets.
Report Preparation for the Roadmap
All data, opinions, and solution proposals obtained at the workshop will be reported by the Zafer Development Agency and transformed into a roadmap that will contribute to the development of Kütahya tiles.
