Acer management predicts that the severe situation in hardware costs will soften in the upcoming period and personal computer prices may begin to decline starting from the second half of 2027.

Memory Crisis and Price Perception

Acer CEO Jason Chen stated that memory manufacturers exaggerate the RAM crisis, which is claimed to last until 2030, and keep alive the perception that prices will not drop in order to protect high profit margins.

Price Increases and Supply Process

Due to supplier prices reflecting on consumers with a delay of a few months, computer prices are expected to increase by 5 to 20 percent at the end of this year, and to follow a stable course in the first half of 2027.
