When Özlem E. entered the living room, she found Serhat Kılıç sitting motionless in an armchair. Realizing that his body was cold and he was not breathing, his girlfriend reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Following the notification, Kağıthane Public Order Bureau teams and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene. Checks by the medical personnel confirmed that the actor had passed away.
Taken to Forensic Medicine
Following the lengthy investigation carried out by police teams at the address, Serhat Kılıç's body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution.

In the records reflected on the building's security cameras prior to the incident, the moments when Kılıç arrived home were captured. The footage showed the actor leaning against the wall waiting for the elevator, and heading towards the stairs when the elevator did not arrive.
