Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Training for Village School Students in Erzincan
With a project led by TÜBİTAK and BİLSEM in Erzincan, students in rural areas met with advanced technology workshops.
Supported by TÜBİTAK and led by Erzincan BİLSEM, 46 middle school students bussed in from eight villages received hands-on training in artificial intelligence, robotic coding, machine learning, and three-dimensional design in Erzincan.
Launch of the Project
An important step was taken within the scope of the support call launched for the first time this year by the TÜBİTAK Directorate of Science and Society for disadvantaged schools in rural areas. The project titled "The Future Will Be Beautiful with Artificial Intelligence" was implemented under the leadership of the Erzincan Science and Art Center and in cooperation with Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University.
Application Area and Participants
Within the framework of the project, special technology workshops were set up for three days at the middle school in Yalınca village, affiliated with the center. A total of 46 middle school students who came from eight surrounding villages via bussed education had the opportunity to work in these workshops.
Training Content and Expert Staff
Accompanied by 10 expert instructors, students were given comprehensive lessons on subjects such as smart greenhouse design, image processing, machine learning, robotic coding, educational material development, and the use of three-dimensional printers.
