According to the Nebraska Snapshot report, approximately one-third of state residents rate the societal risks of artificial intelligence as high or very high, while the proportion viewing its benefits at this level remains below one-fifth.

While younger participants and individuals with higher education levels paint a relatively more optimistic picture regarding the benefits of artificial intelligence, they also state that they harbor higher rates of anxiety concerning the risks.
Demographic and Political Trends
Research findings reveal that men, young adults, and the working population evaluate both perceived benefits and risks at higher rates compared to other groups. Politically, Democrats and independents emphasize risks at higher rates than Republicans do.
