Bayraktar TB3 Armed Uav Conducts Sonoboy Firing Test Launching from TCG Anadolu
National Armed Uav Bayraktar TB3 successfully carried out firings using the Sonoboy Launch System after taking off from TCG Anadolu during the Denizkurdu-I/2026 Exercise.
Taking off from TCG Anadolu within the scope of the Denizkurdu-I/2026 Exercise, the Bayraktar TB3 Armed Uav executed two successful sonoboy firing tests using the Sonoboy Launch System and conducted joint operations with a maritime patrol aircraft.
Mission Within the Scope of the Exercise
Taking off from TCG Anadolu within the framework of the Denizkurdu-I/2026 Exercise, the Bayraktar TB3 Armed Uav demonstrated a significant capability in anti-submarine warfare.
The exercise, conducted between September 20-25, 2026 in the Black Sea, Sea of Marmara, Aegean Sea, and Eastern Mediterranean, showcases the capabilities of national platforms.
Sonoboy Launch System Tests
The national Armed Uav successfully completed two sonoboy firing tests performed via the Sonoboy Launch System developed by Baykar.
During the flight, sonoboys were seamlessly dropped into the sea via the SAS POD located under the wing.
Joint Operation and Data Integration
Executing anti-submarine warfare in accordance with the exercise scenario, Bayraktar TB3 worked in full coordination with the maritime patrol aircraft in the region.
The Armed Uav processed the data of the sonoboys dropped both by itself and by the maritime patrol aircraft, displaying underwater intelligence in real time.
