Apple Takes the Crown

According to the Counterpoint Research report, the iPhone 17 became the world's best-selling model in the second quarter of 2026, capturing a 6 percent share of global smartphone sales.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max ranked second and the iPhone 17 Pro third, giving Apple the top three steps of the list.

Two Brands Share the Market

The combined share of the top 10 models in total sales reached 26 percent, hitting a record level for the June quarter.

Market Contracts

The overall smartphone market contracted by 11 percent during the relevant period.

Due to the global RAM shortage, manufacturers focused more on premium and high-volume models.

Apple Sales Increase

In South Korea, iPhone sales approximately doubled, driven by the impact of the iPhone 17 series.
