Bilimfest in Bingöl Brings Students Together with Science

A three-day science festival implemented through the cooperation of institutions in Bingöl brings technological projects prepared by young people together with visitors.

Bingöl'de Düzenlenen Bilimfest, Öğrencileri Bilim ve Teknoloji ile Buluşturuyor

Organized in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of National Education, the municipality, and the university in Bingöl, Bilimfest has opened its doors with three days of events, bringing students together with science and technology.

Opening with the Participation of Protocol Members

Protocol members attended the opening ceremony of Bilimfest, which was carried out under the leadership of the Bingöl Provincial Directorate of National Education. Following the opening program, the protocol delegation toured the workshops in the festival area one by one and closely examined the various projects prepared by the students.

Workshops and Stands

A total of 38 workshops and stands are taking place in the three-day event. Along with 32 project workshops, the stands of institutions such as AFAD, the Turkish Red Crescent, Yeşilay, and the Provincial Directorate of Security are also attracting intense interest from visitors.

Science and Technology Fields

Students visiting from schools found the opportunity to examine studies in fields such as robotic coding, artificial intelligence, engineering design, natural sciences, astronomy, space sciences, sustainable energy, health, and digital technologies.

Disaster Awareness Education

At the AFAD stand located in the event area, preparedness awareness against potential disasters was instilled in students and visitors. At the stand, topics such as earthquake kits and disaster preparedness were introduced in detail.

Scientific Projects of the Youth

Speaking at the opening, Deputy Governor İbrahim Gökmen emphasized that Bilimfest brings children and youth together with scientific thought. Additionally, innovative technological works developed by students received great appreciation at the event.

Award-Winning Autonomous Project

Mehmet Civan Korkmaz, an 11th-grade student at Karşıyaka Anatolian High School, introduced the autonomous feeding robot with which they won second place in Turkey in the TÜBİTAK 2204 A Technological Design field at the event.
