Call for Proposals Launched for National Strategic Technology Tasks in Vietnam
Institutions, organizations, and individuals nationwide can apply for strategic technology research tasks until the end of September.
The Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam has announced a new process through which businesses, research institutes, and universities can submit proposals for direct strategic technology research and development tasks.
Scope and Duration of the Proposal Process
Starting from today until September 30, businesses, research institutes, universities, organizations, and individuals nationwide will be able to submit proposals directly to the Ministry of Science and Technology.
All relevant institutions, organizations, and individuals are required to complete their projects and proposals in full and submit them to the Ministry before September 30.
Official Announcement and Legal Basis
Led by the Ministry of Science and Technology, this process was formalized with the issuance of Official Announcement No. 392/TB-BKHCN, which ensures that the relevant legal steps are taken.
This call forms a key part of the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Program, which was officially launched by the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1493/QD-TTg dated August 6, 2026.
Key Requirements for Proposals
The proposals to be submitted are required to be based on specific scenarios or the List of Strategic Technologies.
Additionally, it is required that the submitted projects do not overlap in any way with tasks that have already been assigned to other ministries.
