Chip and Artificial Intelligence Technologies Discussed at TEKNOFEST Southeast
During a panel held within the scope of the festival, artificial intelligence chip production, technological independence, and Turkey's potential in the sector were discussed in detail.
Important evaluations regarding the future of microelectronic and chip technologies were made at a panel organized within the framework of TEKNOFEST Southeast events ongoing at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.
An Important Panel on the Third Day of the Festival
The Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, continues at full speed at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.
On the third day of the event, a special session was held within the scope of the GLOBAL Talks organized by the Küme Foundation.
Why Things That Change the World Are Getting Smaller
As part of the festival program, a striking panel titled "Why Things That Change the World Are Getting Smaller?" met with participants.
Yongatek Microelectronics Activities
Speaking at the panel, Yongatek Microelectronics General Manager Ali Baran stated that their primary goal as a company is to carry out design and development activities.
Baran emphasized that white goods chips are widely used not only in this field but also to program all kinds of systems classified as smart.
Great Production Opportunity for Turkey
Expressing that a significant amount of white goods are produced in the world, Baran stated that China is the world's largest producer and Turkey is the second largest.
It was pointed out that this situation holds an important opportunity for the country's industry and technology ecosystem.
Artificial Intelligence Chip and Restrictions
Stating that artificial intelligence deeply affects life, Ali Baran noted that they had foreseen in advance that some countries would not be granted access to artificial intelligence chips.
He announced that they have produced their own artificial intelligence chips and will share the results regarding this at the next TEKNOFEST event.
Use for the Defense Industry
Stating that the developed artificial intelligence chip will consist of 52 percent memory, Baran expressed that the product can be used in the defense field and in UAVs.
Emphasis on Technological Independence
Touching upon the vital importance of technological independence in his speech, Baran said that one should not be afraid of making mistakes.
It was underlined that there are sufficient and strong companies within the borders of Turkey to develop technology.
