E-books advance to the science and technology book award finals
E-books are also featured in the final round of the 2026 Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Award.
Out of a total of 329 submissions for the 2026 Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Award, following the preliminary round, 10 distinguished works including e-books have been selected for the final round.
Scope of the Competition
A total of 329 applications were submitted for the 2026 Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Award, which was launched on April 1.
This award program forms a part of various activities leading up to National Innovation Day on October 1.
The Place of E-books
The most striking innovation of this year's competition is the direct inclusion of e-books in the final list alongside printed works.
Organizers state that this move is not merely a format change, but reflects the movement of publishing in the face of the technological wave.
Fields of the Selected Works
The 10 works that made it to the final round cover a wide range including biodiversity, nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, healthcare, economy, culture, and history.
The books focus on critical topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, antibiotic use, and urban development.
Evaluation Process
The preliminary and final evaluation panels consist of experts and executives from fields such as science, technology, economy, health, and journalism.
Council Chairman Professor Phan Xuan Dung asked the jury members to select truly valuable works with an objective approach.
