Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko announced that 2026 will be the year of education, science, and technology exchange between the two countries.
Additionally, the Russian Science Foundation and the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development of Vietnam have initiated the selection process for joint research projects.

To Lam emphasized that science, technology, and innovation are seen as the primary driving forces to increase economic competitiveness.
It was stated that cooperation should not be limited to personnel training but should encompass joint technology learning and product development.
Strategic Areas to Focus On
It was decided that the two countries should focus on the fields of nuclear energy, new energy, space technologies, semiconductors, quantum technology, and artificial intelligence.
Within the scope of the event, the Vietnam-Russia Knowledge Network was launched, and various cooperation documents were signed.
