Students from Karaköprü Hatice Kübra Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip High School achieved second place in the TEKNOFEST Inter-High School Social Solutions Competitions with their 'Elevator Producing Its Own Electricity' project, designed as a solution to the problem of power outages and the fear of being trapped in elevators.

An Idea Born from Fear

Students of Karaköprü Hatice Kübra Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip High School initiated this study based on the anxiety they experienced after being trapped in an elevator they had boarded previously.

Energy Generation Through Friction Force

In the Elevator Producing Its Own Electricity project, it is aimed to generate and store electrical energy by utilizing the friction force created during the ascent and descent of the elevator.

Thanks to this developed system, elevators can produce their own energy without remaining dependent on external sources.

Statements by the Advisor Teacher

Nülifer Karaoğlan Bakır, the advisor teacher of the project, stated that they conducted extensive research on energy conversion with her students and established a system that is not dependent on external sources.

Bakır emphasized that the system can operate uninterruptedly without incurring any energy loss.

Goals and Views of the Students

Cansu Yıldırım, one of the students, stated that they prevented cost and stress by eliminating the risk of getting stuck in the elevator and the necessity of breaking doors.

Yağmur Nursena Yıldız expressed the pride they felt in signing off on an impressive project that provides social benefit.
