32 countries confirmed for the 2027 Women's Volleyball World Cup
All teams that will take part in the major tournament, to be co-hosted by North America, have been announced.
The 32 countries and quotas that will compete in the 2027 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Cup, to be held from August 20 to September 5, 2027, co-hosted by the USA and Canada, have been determined.
Tournament Hosts and Dates
According to the statement by the Turkish Volleyball Federation, the organization to be co-hosted by the USA and Canada will take place from August 20 to September 5, 2027.
While the cities of Anaheim, Omaha, and Orlando in the USA will host the tournament, Montreal and Quebec City will share this excitement in Canada.
Status of the National Team
Holding the titles of reigning European and Nations League champions, the Women's National Volleyball Team will compete for the championship in the tournament.
Format and Group Stage
The organization will be held with the participation of 32 teams for the second time in World Cup history. Teams will be divided into eight groups of four in the group stage.
Teams that finish their groups in the top two positions will compete in the knockout stage, consisting of the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place match, and final.
Draw and Opponents
The groups and opponents of the teams competing in the World Cup will be finalized after the draw is held.
The date and time of the draw will be announced to the public later by the International Volleyball Federation.
Participating Countries
Canada and the USA will directly take part in the organization as hosts.
From the North, Central America and Caribbean region, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Puerto Rico earned the right to participate in the tournament.
Continental Qualifiers and Rankings
While Thailand, China, and Japan will take part in the tournament from the Asian continent, Turkey, Serbia, Poland, and Italy secured their tickets from Europe.
Egypt, Kenya, and Cameroon joined from Africa, while Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia etched their names into the cup from South America.
