GLEX 2028 Conference to be Held in Japan
With an agreement signed at the IAC 2026 congress in Antalya, the date and location of the next IAF Global Space Exploration Conference have been finalized.
According to the official announcement made at the 77th International Astronautical Congress held in Antalya, the next IAF Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX 2028) will take place at the Aichi Sky Expo in Japan from May 16-18, 2028.

The 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), organized by the IAF, continues at the Antalya NEST Congress Center, hosted by the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and SAHA Istanbul.
Within the scope of the congress, a critical agreement was signed between Japan and the IAF, officially determining the location of the upcoming GLEX 2028 gathering.
Preparations Begin for the Global Summit
IAF President Gabriella Arrigo stated that they aim to transform this new gathering into an international summit for the space exploration community.
Arrigo shared with the participants that they will work in close cooperation with JAXA and IAF members toward this goal.
JAXA's Space Projects
JAXA President Yamakawa Hiroshi provided comprehensive information about the institution's ongoing Moon and planetary exploration projects.
In his speech, Hiroshi touched upon the LUPEX mission, the pressurized lunar rover, and the MMX mission planned for launch by the end of the month.
