Global markets are following a positive course with optimistic expectations for companies' artificial intelligence investments and diplomatic signals that geopolitical tensions might ease. While New York, European, and Asian stock markets finished the day with gains, strong rallies in technology stocks and increased risk appetite drew attention.

Record Levels in the New York Stock Exchange

The New York Stock Exchange closed the first trading day of the week with an increase, driven by declines in oil prices and bond yields, as well as strong rises in artificial intelligence stocks. Among chip companies, Intel gained 12.1 percent, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) nearly 10 percent, and Micron Technology 2.8 percent.

AMD's Market Value Reaches 1 Trillion Dollars

Along with the massive growth momentum in the technology sector, chip manufacturer AMD's market value surpassed the 1 trillion dollar threshold, leaving behind an important milestone. In this process, where Meta shares also registered an 11.4 percent increase, the Nasdaq index rose by 2.26 percent to see an all-time high of 27,183.93 points.

Buying-Oriented Course in European Markets

European stock markets finished the day on a positive course with expectations that geopolitical risks would decrease and support from technology stocks. In the UK, the FTSE 100 index gained 0.75 percent, in France the CAC 40 index 0.92 percent, and in Germany the DAX 40 index 1.07 percent.

Asian Stock Markets in Positive Territory

Influenced by the positive atmosphere in the New York market, risk appetite also increased in Asian stock markets. Significant increases were recorded in shares of regional technology and e-commerce giants Samsung Electronics, Alibaba, Baidu, and Tencent.

Borsa Istanbul Finished the Day with an Increase

While the BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul finished the day gaining 0.40 percent at 13,337.69 points, limited movements were observed in futures markets and exchange rates. Analysts are closely monitoring the resistance and support levels determined for the index.
