Google has begun testing a new version of its AI agent CC, designed to support families in organizing their chores, calendars, and emails.

Family-Focused AI Features

Google has introduced CC, a new AI product designed to coordinate families' daily lives. The system aims to simplify household daily planning by working across email, calendar, chats, and tasks.

Development Process and Transformation

Initially starting as a productivity agent linked with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and the web, the tool appeared as a Daily Summary in the Gemini app in May. Upon user requests focusing on household management, Google transformed the tool into a family-oriented structure.

Account and Data Sharing

CC has its own Google account to collaborate on tasks with family members while maintaining specific data access permissions. Each family member chooses for themselves what information to share, such as school events or doctor appointments.

Capacity and Functions

Supporting up to six family members, CC tracks important dates and to-dos, adding them to the calendar or a shared task list. It can manage tasks such as filling out permission slips, preparing shopping lists, and planning weekly meals.

Infrastructure and Access Conditions

Powered by Gemini and Google's agentic framework Antigravity, CC runs on an isolated cloud computer. This experimental feature is currently available only to U.S. users aged 18 and older with a personal Gmail account.
