The scientific heritage left by Al-Battani, who conducted pioneering studies in the field of astronomy in Şanlıurfa's Harran district approximately 1,200 years ago, is coming back to life with TEKNOFEST Southeast, which will be held in Şanlıurfa between September 30 and October 4.

The renowned scholar Al-Battani, who is accepted to have been born in Harran, made significant contributions to the history of world science through his astronomical observations and scientific studies carried out for approximately 41 years.

In Harran, where Al-Battani's scientific heritage is kept alive, the Battani Space and Aviation Science Center, which introduces developments in the fields of space and aviation to broad audiences, is welcoming visitors.
