HAVELSAN Launches "Engineer Children on the Road" Project in Şanlıurfa

The pilot application of the "Engineer Children on the Road" project, implemented by HAVELSAN to increase children's interest in science, technology, and engineering, took place in Şanlıurfa within the scope of TEKNOFEST Southeast.

Activities Held in Village Schools

Within the scope of the project, village schools in the districts of Harran, Bozova, Haliliye, and Hilvan were visited, and students were brought together.

Approximately 450 students participated in the events held during the first three days, and magazines were delivered to a total of 610 students.

Hands-on Workshops

Students had the opportunity to experience technology fields hands-on in coding, engineering, and BARKAN workshops.

In addition to the workshops, participation certificates were given to the children, and information was provided about the HAVELSAN stand.

Mini BARKAN Meets the Students

The Unmanned Ground Vehicle BARKAN, developed within the scope of HAVELSAN's domestic and national engineering efforts, held an important place in the events.

Students had the opportunity to closely get to know the game version of BARKAN and acquire basic knowledge about autonomous systems.

Local Cooperation and Views of Educators

In the Şanlıurfa implementation, the Provincial Directorate of National Education, the STEM and Science Center, and volunteers from the Young STEM Association cooperated.

School administrators and teachers expressed their satisfaction with HAVELSAN coming together with the students.
