Statement from TFF Regarding the Detention of Ferhat Gündoğdu and MHK Members
Within the scope of an Istanbul-centric investigation, MHK President Gündoğdu and seven suspects were detained.
In an operation carried out across four provinces centered in Istanbul, seven suspects, including Central Arbitration Board President Ferhat Gündoğdu as well as referees and observers, were detained. The Turkish Football Federation published an official statement following the developments.

As a result of the operation organized in four different provinces centered in Istanbul, Central Arbitration Board President Ferhat Gündoğdu along with certain referees and observers were included in the detention process.
Accusations Levied
It was reported that the seven suspects detained within the scope of the investigation face charges of mobbing and forgery of official documents, and judicial processes regarding the matter are being meticulously pursued.
TFF's Approach to Duty
The Board of Directors of the Turkish Football Federation stated that it was elected by the will of the delegates and is working to strengthen the understanding of clean football in order to re-establish public conscience.
Inter-Institutional Cooperation
It was emphasized that the board of directors is pursuing issues of betting and illegal betting, and is contributing to the efforts by working in coordination with the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Applications Made to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office
It was stated that, starting from April 2025, multiple criminal complaints were filed on various dates with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the establishment of justice.
Forensic Medicine Examinations
It was conveyed that the documents requested within the TFF were delivered to the chief public prosecutor's office in a sealed envelope to be handed over to the Forensic Medicine Institution for fingerprint and DNA residue examinations.
Emphasis on the Judicial Process
In the statement made by the federation, it was recorded that there is full belief in the supremacy of law and the independence of judicial authorities, and the process is being monitored with a sense of responsibility.
Call to the Public
