Hue University is among the pilot institutions for an innovative ecosystem that connects education and research with the market by turning ideas born in the classroom into reality.

Role within the Scope of the Pilot Program

Hue University, alongside Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, is one of the three higher education institutions selected by the Ministry of Education and Training for a pilot program aimed at developing the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The institution is gradually connecting education and research with the market, ranging from real-life-connected ideas to technology application projects.

National Festival and Events

Having hosted the 5th National Student Entrepreneurship Festival in 2023 under the participation and guidance of former Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the institution has served as a meeting point for innovative ideas and stakeholders.

According to Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung, more than 300 entrepreneurship events reaching over 100,000 students were organized during the 2020-2024 period.

Entrepreneurship Data and Projects

According to data for the 2020-2025 period, over 2,000 startup ideas were recorded, 25 student projects were incubated, and 16 startup businesses were supported.

Among the achievements in competitions, the MedVAR and HUAF-BIO projects received awards in 2025, while the An Vi Porridge project placed in the rankings in 2026.

Transfer from Laboratory to Market

The Lab2Life program supports the transfer of research results from the laboratory to application and provides a roadmap for the establishment of the first science and technology startup.

Flagship products such as iKIDs, Moonlight, and HomeArt are among concrete examples of application and commercialization.

Cooperation Network and Advisory Council

A collaborative network consisting of a total of 70 institutes and universities, 38 businesses, and 10 investment funds supports the process.

The High-Level Entrepreneurship and Innovation Advisory Council has commenced operations to increase mentor resources in the new period.
