Lam Dong province is prioritizing the training and development of human resources by strengthening the state management apparatus in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, thereby making significant contributions to socio-economic development.

State Administration and Digital Skills

Following the implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the two-tier local government model, Lam Dong province has strengthened its state management apparatus for science, technology, and digital transformation.

The provincial administration places great importance on the training and development of human resources, focusing on improving digital skills for officials and citizens through the Digital Literacy Movement.

Scientists and Research Activities

Across the province, there are 2 professors, over 25 associate professors, and more than 160 individuals holding doctorate degrees, who are concentrated in research institutes, universities, and healthcare facilities.

This team conducts research and application activities in many fields such as high-tech agriculture, biotechnology, information technology, digital transformation, environment, energy, tourism, and finance.

Application of Research Results

In the 2020-2025 period, large-scale research and application activities will be carried out with 152 science and technology tasks focusing on key areas.

Forty-five percent of scientific and technological results are put into practice within 12 months after being approved, and 20 percent of businesses use research results in their production processes.

Innovation Ecosystem and Intellectual Property

In Lam Dong, 5.65 out of every 10,000 people work in scientific research, technological development, and innovation, alongside the establishment of 16 science and technology enterprises and 57 organizations.

As part of intellectual property development, 96 collective trademarks, 6,336 general trademarks, 519 industrial designs, and 24 patents are under protection across the province.

Entrepreneurship and Training Programs

The province continuously implements programs to support the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, targeting students, youth union members, and startup businesses.

During the 2020-2025 period, the province organized 9 technical innovation contests and 18 innovation competitions for youth, alongside providing consultancy services for various projects.

Artificial Intelligence and Digital Talent Training

The provincial administration has organized 19 training courses on the operation of common information systems for over 11,000 civil servants and public employees.

Artificial intelligence training programs are being implemented for leaders, officials, businesses, and Party members, establishing a solid foundation for a digital government and digital economy.
