Da Nang city conducted various visits and signed memorandums of understanding in South Korea, the United States, and Japan to expand cooperation in science, technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and innovation.

International Contacts and Agreements

Representatives from the Da Nang Innovation and Startup Support Center and Cyfendo, Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation at the Da Nang - Silicon Valley Innovation and Expert Network seminar. A delegation led by Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee, visited South Korea and the US from September 18-25 to promote high-tech cooperation.

Seminar in Seoul and Areas of Cooperation

At the Da Nang - South Korea Future Cooperation 2026 seminar held in Seoul, Da Nang promoted its development potential, strategic cooperation areas, and preferential policies. During the visit, memorandums of understanding on semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and human resource training were signed between the Da Nang Integrated Circuit Design and Artificial Intelligence Research and Training Center under the Department of Science and Technology and Korean organizations.

Investment Targets in California

At the seminar held in Santa Clara, California, the Da Nang Innovation and Startup Support Center signed agreements with partners such as Cyfendo, Janus Capital, TBH Global, and the Patrick Long Family Office, aiming to increase access to investment resources, expertise, and international markets.

Sustainable Material Studies in Japan

In September, in the city of Kawasaki, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Da Nang Innovation and Startup Support Center and the Universal Materials Incubator for the research of eco-friendly and sustainable materials.

Existing Investments and Global Connections

Da Nang currently maintains cooperation agreements with nine local government units in South Korea, and there are 314 projects in the city with investments totaling 1.66 billion USD from South Korean businesses. On the US side, strong connections have been established with leading global technology companies such as Synopsys, Marvell, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm, with about 10 US companies operating in the semiconductor chip design sector.
