Joint Cooperation with Concordia University in the Field of Security Technology
Education and research cooperation focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital technology was discussed between Vietnamese and Canadian universities.
Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang met with Professor Graham Carr, President of Concordia University in Canada, in Hanoi to discuss joint educational opportunities in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital technology.
Working Meeting in Hanoi
General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, held a working meeting with Professor Graham Carr, President of Concordia University in Canada, on the afternoon of October 5 in Hanoi.
During the meeting, the potential for cooperation between the two sides in education, scientific research, and the application of new technologies was evaluated.
Critical Technologies and Security
Minister Luong Tam Quang drew attention to Concordia University's strengths in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data management, the Internet of Things, and digital technology.
He also stated that these areas are of critical importance in ensuring security and order.
Academic Cooperation Proposals
It was stated that the Academy of Security Technology and Engineering is a suitable focal point for materializing cooperation contents.
The Minister proposed developing joint programs in areas such as artificial intelligence applications, cybersecurity, risk management, and digital forensics.
Support from the University
Concordia University President Professor Graham Carr stated that he appreciates the interest shown by the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in education and research.
The President confirmed their readiness to strengthen institutional cooperation, particularly with the Academy of Security Technology.
