Speaking at the GITEX Ai Turkey event held at the Istanbul Expo Center, Kacır reminded that Turkey leads the world in the defense industry with UAV systems, and the number of Togg vehicles on the roads has reached 120,000.

Investment and Fund Figures

He announced that 2.8 billion dollars in funds have been provided to the entrepreneurship ecosystem with public resources to date, and with a new 300 million dollar resource, over 750 million dollars in additional financing will be transferred to the sector.

Turcorn and Startup Goals

Stating that Turkey had no unicorns in 2019 and has reached 8 Turcorns today, Kacır emphasized that they aim to produce 100,000 technology startups in the future and bring the total valuation of Turcorns to 100 billion dollars.

Artificial Intelligence and Turkish Language Studies

Touching upon global risks in the field of artificial intelligence, Kacır said that existing models are inadequate in understanding the nuances of Turkish, and they are striving to eliminate this deficiency with the TÜBİTAK Artificial Intelligence Institute and the TRUBA infrastructure.

Terminal Istanbul Project

He stated that the city's international position will be carried to the peak with the Terminal Istanbul project, in which the Atatürk Airport terminal will become the world's largest entrepreneurship center.
