The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced an official plan to determine the leading organization that will undertake two research and development missions in critical technology areas within the framework of the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Program.
Strategic Technology Missions and Decisions
The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced a new plan aimed at selecting an organization that will lead the implementation of strategic technology research and development missions.
Accordingly, on September 23, 2026, official decisions were issued by the Minister of Industry and Trade for the selection and implementation of two strategic missions under the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Program.
Scope of the Defined R&D Missions
The main outlines of the projects to be implemented became clear with the published decisions numbered 2370/QD-BCT and 2371/QD-BCT.
Within the scope of the first mission, the production of dual-armed industrial robots with artificial intelligence for electronic assembly lines will be carried out, while the second mission will ensure the research and development of computer vision and artificial intelligence platform software serving smart manufacturing for the processing and manufacturing sector.

Details regarding the application process determined for selecting the leading organization to carry out these critical missions in the field of strategic technologies were shared.
The submission period granted for candidate organizations to submit their applications started on September 28, 2026, and will continue until October 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
