National Assembly Delegation Conducts Review for Draft Laws in Ca Mau
An Assembly committee conducted inspections at production facilities and coastal embankments to review new draft laws.
A delegation led by Ta Dinh Thi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, conducted field research in Ca Mau to evaluate the draft Electricity Law and the draft Law on Marine and Island Resources and Environment.
Field Inspections Conducted in Ca Mau
The delegation, headed by Ta Dinh Thi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, inspected the Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Complex and the western coastal embankment area.
During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by Nguyen Binh Tan, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, and representatives of relevant agencies who provided information on operations in the region.
Gathering Practical Information for Draft Laws
The primary purpose of the field research is to gather practical data for the amended draft Electricity Law and the draft Law on Marine and Island Resources and Environment.
Production Models in the Industrial Complex
The working group inspected the production models of the Southwestern Gas Branch and the energy and fertilizer companies located within the Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Industrial Cluster.
Business representatives provided information on power plant operations and conveyed the difficulties they faced during the draft law process along with proposed solutions to the delegation.
Energy Projects and Investment Resources
Ta Dinh Thi drew attention to the importance of feedback from businesses, stating that comprehensive evaluation reports are necessary for energy projects and natural gas power plants.
Western Sea Embankment and Erosion Inspection
Later in the day, visiting the western sea embankment in Da Bac commune, the delegation received information from local leaders regarding the erosion risk in the region and the current condition of the embankment.
