In this internationally conducted scientific study, the cellular effects of caffeine were examined in detail on yeast models, which share fundamental biological similarities with human cells.

Stimulation of the AMPK Enzyme System

As a result of the analyses, it was determined that caffeine directly stimulates and activates the AMPK enzyme system, which acts as a cellular fuel indicator and maintains metabolic balance.

Experts' Comments on the Findings

Dr. Charalampos Rallis, one of the senior authors of the study, stated that the AMPK system, which comes into play to survive when cell energy decreases, is directly triggered thanks to caffeine.

Team member Dr. John-Patrick Alao pointed out that caffeine strengthens processes directly related to aging, such as DNA repair and stress resistance.
