Technology and Innovation Objectives
According to the Petrovietnam Science, Technology, and Digital Transformation Board, as part of the implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, the corporation has issued and revised regulations related to science, technology, and innovation.
Additionally, strategic development goals for the 2030-2050 period have been established, and a new roadmap has been created to expand growth potential.
New Fields of Activity
The group is comprehensively expanding its activities into entirely new areas such as clean hydrogen, green chemicals, new materials, and the data economy.
To materialize the strategic technology direction, thirty-four different strategic products have been identified, and work in this field has been accelerated.
Advanced Technology Projects
Projects carried out within the corporation include digital twin technology, advanced artificial intelligence applications, and autonomous underwater vehicles.
In addition, efforts continue in innovative fields such as 3D printing technology to support modern production processes.
Faced Obstacles
Petrovietnam states that it faces difficulties in some applications due to the lack of a controlled testing legal framework, namely a sandbox.
Furthermore, the insufficiency of independent domestic technology evaluation bodies and complexities experienced in technology transfer processes are among the other obstacles.
