Scope and Details of the Credit Program

The preferential credit program covering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students studying in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields has been implemented.

This program helps many families reduce their educational expenses while offering students the opportunity to progress with confidence in high-demand fields.

Academic Year and Application Rates

More than 633,000 students have enrolled for the 2026-2027 academic year, with approximately one-third of them choosing STEM fields.

The Bank for Social Policies is actively implementing this credit program in accordance with relevant decisions.

Financial Conditions and Repayment

The credit support fully covers tuition fees and living expenses of up to 5 million VND per month.

The credit interest rate has been set at 4.8 percent per annum and remains fixed throughout the loan term, with students beginning repayment 12 months after completing the course.

Implementation Results and Applications

It has been reported that approximately 6,500 credit applications were recorded one year after the implementation.

As a result of the transactions carried out, the total outstanding loan balance has reached approximately 450 billion VND.
