The meeting took place at the headquarters of the National Assembly institutions in Hanoi on the evening of September 21 with expanded participation. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Committee, chaired the meeting.

Representatives from the National Assembly's Ethnic Council and various committees, as well as officials from ministries, departments, central agencies, and related units, attended the meeting.
Objectives of the Draft
According to the report presented by the representative of the drafting agency, the law aims to address difficulties and obstacles encountered in the implementation of the 2010 Food Safety Law.
Database and Inspection
The draft law aims to establish a national food safety database, strengthen post-inspection activities, and increase the effectiveness of law enforcement.

Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized that food safety is a vital area directly related to people's health and lives, the development of future generations, and the competitiveness of the economy.
