New Telescope with a Wide Field of View
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is launching its new observatory designed to survey large areas of the sky and conduct dark matter research. Named after Nancy Grace Roman, the telescope is intended to complement the Hubble and James Webb space telescopes.

One of the primary goals of the mission is to evaluate the effects of dark energy and dark matter on the shape and distribution of billions of stars and galaxies. Cosmologists state that the majority of space consists of these mysterious components.
Targeting One Hundred Thousand New Exoplanets
One of the Roman telescope's main missions is also to search for exoplanets beyond the solar system. It is estimated that the telescope will add up to 100,000 new exoplanets alongside known ones.
Launch Details and L2 Orbit
The telescope is scheduled to launch on Sunday from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. The observatory will be positioned at the L2 point, 1.5 million kilometers away from Earth.
