Science and Technology Drive Launched for Hanoi's Chronic Problems
Taking action to overcome urban and economic bottlenecks in the capital, the local government has tasked 12 organizations with producing innovative solutions.
The Hanoi Department of Science and Technology has requested 12 associations and organizations to propose scientific, technological, and innovative projects to solve 30 major problems facing the city in the 2026-2030 period.
Call for Cooperation via Official Dispatch
Action was taken in accordance with official dispatch No. 7342/SKHCN-KTS&XHS issued by the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology.
The twelve associations and organizations were asked to develop a comprehensive task list to address the city's main problems.
Assigned Associations and Organizations
Among the structures asked to participate in the coordination process is the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
In addition, the Vietnam E-commerce Association and various sector associations and unions across Hanoi were assigned roles in this process.
30 Problems Grouped into Four Main Categories
The list of key problems was formalized by Decision No. 1193/QD-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee dated March 18, 2026.
The said list covers 30 problems grouped into four main categories focusing on urban and environmental bottlenecks, economy, and security.
Deadline for Project Proposals
The department expects each designated association and organization to propose approximately 5 to 10 high-quality projects.
The associations were requested to submit these prepared proposals to the authorized institutions by September 15, 2026.
