Strategic Cooperation Between Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and Vingroup

The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and Vingroup Corporation signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding in Hanoi to expand research, development, and technology applications in strategic fields.
Key Figures Attending the Signing Ceremony
Professor Chu Hoang Ha, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, was present at the signing ceremony.
The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Le Mai Lan, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Chairwoman of the VinUni University Council.
Four Key Areas Identified
A total of four key areas of strategic importance were identified within the scope of the cooperation between the parties.
These areas are planned to focus on scientific research as well as technology development processes.
Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology
Work will be carried out in the field of artificial intelligence and digital technology, which is the first of the cooperation areas.
In this context, focus will be placed on modern technologies such as data science, big data, robotics, and automation.
New Materials and Energy
The new materials and energy sector stands out as the second core activity area.
Nanomaterials, smart materials, clean energy sources, and hydrogen technologies will be addressed in this field.
Life Sciences and Biomedical Technologies
Joint steps will be taken in the field of life sciences and biomedical technologies as the third group.
Biotechnology, genetic engineering, and precision medicine applications are at the focus of this category.
Space and Aerospace Technology
Joint projects will be developed in space and aerospace technology, which constitutes the fourth core area.
Accordingly, it is aimed to carry out studies on satellite research and Earth observation systems.
Resource and Education Sharing
The parties have decided to mutually share their research resources.
Scientists and experts will be brought together to provide joint supervision for master's and doctoral students.
Sub-Cooperation Agreements
Within the framework of the event, signatures were signed between units under VAST and structures affiliated with Vingroup.
In this context, institutional structures such as VinUni and VinSpace also signed sub-cooperation agreements among themselves.
