Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz made important assessments at the groundbreaking ceremony for Fırat University's new 800-bed hospital in Elazığ, where he was visiting for a series of engagements.

Visit to Elazığ

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz arrived in Elazığ to conduct various programs and visits. Welcomed at Elazığ Airport by Governor Numan Hatipoğlu and city protocol, Yılmaz then proceeded to the hospital groundbreaking ceremony.

New Hospital Project

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new 800-bed hospital building to be constructed within Fırat University was held with enthusiasm. It was reported that all patient rooms in this planned modern healthcare facility are designed as single-person rooms.

Healthcare Satisfaction Rates

Speaking at the ceremony, Cevdet Yılmaz drew attention to the increase in citizens' satisfaction with healthcare services over the years. He stated that the satisfaction rate, which was 39.5 percent in 2002, reached the level of 69.4 percent as of 2025.

City Hospital Investments

In his speech, Yılmaz also extensively covered the city hospital projects, which are described as the president's vision. It was announced that 27 city hospitals have been put into service nationwide to date and construction work continues on 13 hospitals.
