Students in Gürpınar met with virtual reality and experiment sets
Through a collaborative effort in Van, students' scientific thinking skills in the district were supported, and various gifts were presented.
In an event held in Van in line with the plans of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, students were introduced to virtual reality and scientific experiments.
Collaboration and Event Purpose
In cooperation with the Van Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology and Van Teknokent, a special event was implemented in the Gürpınar district in accordance with the Provincial Work Plan of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
The organized program aimed to increase students' interest in science and technology, support their sense of curiosity, and develop their scientific thinking skills.
Participating Schools and Students
Within the scope of this meaningful meeting, students from Bölmeçalı Primary School and Gürpınar Borsa İstanbul Girls' Regional Boarding Secondary School came together.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to spend time intertwined with technological applications and live an unforgettable experience.
Technology and Experiment Applications
In the event area, students gained quite different and innovative experiences thanks to applications carried out with virtual reality goggles.
In addition, they found the opportunity to practice by carrying out various scientific studies through electronic experiment sets.
Application Supervisors and Experts
Within the framework of the program, virtual reality applications were conducted by Mehmet Sezer Altun, Van Teknokent Business Development Specialist.
Electronic application and experiment studies were carried out by engineer Muhammed Zeki İnanç and Sedat Gözeten, personnel of the Van Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology.
Gift Presentations and Thanks
At the end of the event, TÜBİTAK-published Meraklı Minik and Bilim Çocuk magazines were gifted to the students to encourage reading habits.
Thanks were extended to Gürpınar District Director of National Education Elif Yörük, school principal Nesrin Nebioğlu, and teacher Orhan Doğan, who contributed to the realization of the program.
Project Goals and Protocol Participation
Authorities stated that similar organizations aim to increase students' awareness in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
