Students in Gürpınar met with virtual reality and science
Through a joint project carried out in Van, students experienced technological applications firsthand and conducted various scientific activities.
In an event organized in the Gürpınar district in cooperation with the Van Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology and Van Technopark, students met with virtual reality headsets and electronic experiment sets.
Science and Technology Meeting
A special event was organized in the Gürpınar district in line with the Ministry of Industry and Technology's Provincial Working Plan to increase students' interest in science and technology. Within the framework of the program, students studying in the district's schools were brought together.
Hands-on Experiences
Students from Bölmeçalı Primary School and Gürpınar Borsa İstanbul Girls' Regional Boarding Secondary School took part in the event. While the students had different experiences with virtual reality headsets, they carried out scientific studies using electronic experiment sets.
Conducted Activities
The VR application was managed by Van Technopark Business Development Specialist Mehmet Sezer Altun. Electronic application and experiment studies were carried out by Van Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology personnel, Engineer Muhammed Zeki İnanç and Sedat Gözeten.
Targeted Objectives
With the organized hands-on activities, it was aimed to increase students' interest in technology, support their sense of curiosity, and develop their scientific thinking skills. Officials stated that similar work will continue.
Gifts and Acknowledgments
At the end of the program, TÜBİTAK's Meraklı Minik and Bilim Çocuk magazines were gifted to the students. Thanks were extended to the host officials and contributing teachers.
