TEKNOFEST Competitor Yaren Özdemir's Startup Heads to Europe
ITU graduate Yaren Özdemir, who produced her first prototype with the award she won at TEKNOFEST, is expanding to the European market with Beespenser Technology.
Yaren Özdemir, a graduate of Istanbul Technical University's Department of Physics Engineering, is moving her startup—whose foundations she laid with the award she won at TEKNOFEST in 2023—to the product stage and is preparing to export to the European market in a short time.
The Journey of Success Starting with TEKNOFEST
Yaren Özdemir, who graduated from the Istanbul Technical University Department of Physics Engineering in 2025, first participated in the festival as a student in 2023. Özdemir and her team managed to make a name for themselves with the project they developed.
Additive Manufacturing and Prototype Process
Working as a five-person team on an additive manufacturing method that enables the fast and practical production of circuit boards, the team carried out ink production and device development activities.
Competition First Place and What the Award Brought
Özdemir and her team achieved first place in the Pre-Seed Environment, Energy and Climate Category at the Take Off competition held within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2023. This award played a critical role in bringing the first prototype to life.
Product Stage with Beespenser Technology
Continuing her work after the competition, the entrepreneur brought the circuit board production device named monobee to a position where it can be introduced to the market under the name Beespenser Technology.
Preparations for Export to the European Market
Continuing her preparations for the export of the technological device they developed, Yaren Özdemir stated that they will start the export process for the European market within one to two months.
Goal of Reducing Dependency on China
This innovative solution aims to reduce foreign dependency in production processes, especially dependency on China. The product enables R&D and manufacturing processes to be carried out locally.
