TEKNOFEST Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition Finals Begin
The finals of the Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition, bringing together young engineers' projects, have started in Istanbul.
The final excitement of the Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition, organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and TENMAK, began on September 1–4, 2026, at the TENMAK Campus in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul.
Aim and Scope of the Competition
Realized within the scope of TEKNOFEST, this organization brings together young engineers to develop innovative projects that will shape the future of nuclear technologies.
Participation and Finalist Rates
While a total of 193 teams and 733 contestants applied to the organization, 42 teams and 293 contestants earned the right to compete in the final stage as a result of the evaluations.
Important Financial Incentives
A special incentive support amounting to 15 million TL will be provided to the university affiliated with the school team that achieves first place in the Detailed Design category for laboratory and infrastructure establishment.
Awards for the Ranking Teams
A cash prize of 1 million 250 thousand TL will be presented to the team that comes first in the Detailed Design category, 550 thousand TL to the second-place team, and 400 thousand TL to the third-place team.
