TEKNOFEST-winning youth develop vertical landing test vehicle for Turkey's Moon goal
Founded by young entrepreneurs, TURKUZAYSAN introduced its vertical landing test vehicle at Teknopark Ankara, developed to support Turkey's goal of landing on the Moon.
TURKUZAYSAN, founded by TEKNOFEST-winning young entrepreneurs, showcased its vertical landing test vehicle at Teknopark Ankara to contribute to Turkey's Moon landing objective.
High Attendance at the Introductory Ceremony
The introductory ceremony for the project, prepared within the framework of the National Space Program and aimed at contributing to Turkey's Moon landing goal, was held at Teknopark Ankara. The meeting was attended by TÜBİTAK Space Institute Deputy Director Bülent Avenoğlu and TÜBİTAK Space Moon Mission Project Manager Burak Yağlıoğlu.
Field Tests and Success Rate
Company founder Emre Aklan announced that they have completed the prototype of the vehicle, aimed at contributing to the Lunar Research Program, and have moved on to the testing phase. Aklan stated that they work with field test scenarios instead of laboratory tests to increase the success rate in space missions.
Liquid-Fueled Propulsion System and Domestic Production
Explaining that the vehicle features a liquid-fueled propulsion system and has a modular structure, Aklan noted that its construction, along with theoretical infrastructure processes, took more than three years. Aklan emphasized that the assembly and integration parts belong entirely to their own team.
An Initiative Born from TEKNOFEST Success
Stating that their motivation for the project stems from their first-place finish at TEKNOFEST, Aklan recalled their degree achieved in the 2022 competition. The young entrepreneurs continue their work within the body of Teknopark Ankara with the company they founded.
