The Impact of Scientific and Technological Developments on Agricultural Production
Through technology projects carried out in rural and mountainous regions, thousands of farmers have been trained and agricultural productivity has increased.
According to data from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the transfer of scientific and technological developments has been supported to increase agricultural production in rural, mountainous, and ethnic minority regions during the 2016-2025 period.
Scope and Objectives of the Program
According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, agriculture has been one of the key areas of the program implemented during the 2016-2025 period. The projects focused on applying and transferring technological developments suitable to the production conditions of each region.
Conducted Training and Model Activities
In the crop production sector, thousands of field technicians have been trained, and tens of thousands of farmers have received technical education. In addition, numerous technological processes have been transferred and production models established.
The implementations have been carried out in a wide range of areas from food products to vegetables, flowers to industrial plants, and medicinal plants to fruit trees.
Developments in Food and Rice Production
In the field of food products, projects have been implemented in over twenty provinces and cities nationwide. Focus areas included the production and transfer of new rice varieties as well as aeroponic technology.
With the efforts carried out in the mountainous regions of Nghe An province, rice production has increased, yields have risen, and the income of the population has grown by approximately thirty percent.
Safe Vegetables and Other Sectors
With safe vegetable production projects, compliant production facilities have been established, vegetable production has been increased, and producers' earnings have been improved.
Similar technology transfers have also been successfully carried out in different areas such as flower production, industrial plants, medicinal plants, and fruit trees.
