Türk Telekom has launched the R&D and Innovation Science Board with the aim of focusing on future advanced technologies and ensuring a permanent collaboration between academia and the industry.

Future Technologies Targeted

The newly established R&D and Innovation Science Board will focus on advanced future technologies, particularly 6G, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, satellite communications, and next-generation networks. With this step, it is aimed to increase Turkey's national technology power.

Members of the Science Board

Six scientists who stand out with their international academic studies serve on the board. The members include Prof. Dr. Elif Uysal, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Arslan, Prof. Dr. Berk Canberk, Prof. Dr. Resul Daş, Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata, and Prof. Dr. Halim Yanıkömeroğlu.

Working Axes and Sectoral Integration

Carrying out its activities on four main axes, the board will focus on next-generation networks, 6G, AI-powered networks, and satellite communications. Türk Telekom CEO Ebubekir Şahin stated that academic knowledge is being brought together with the field experience of the telecommunications sector.

Within the scope of the event held, plaques were presented to four employees due to their prominent successes in in-house innovation and R&D activities.
