University Students Returning from TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland with an Award Aim for International Success
Winning the Most Original Design award with their underwater rocket SEDASEF, ATÜ students now aim to participate in international competitions following this achievement.
Students from Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University won the Most Original Design award within the scope of TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland with their domestically-developed underwater rocket, SEDASEF.
Success Achieved with SEDASEF
Students studying in various departments of Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University achieved significant success with the underwater rocket they developed.
The pressure-resistant underwater rocket named SEDASEF, produced using domestic software by the BELUGA FoF team, drew great attention.
Competition Process and Award
The rocket, produced by the youth as a result of approximately one year of work, succeeded in reaching the finals in the competition held at the Gölcük Shipyard Command.
In the Underwater Rocket Competition held within the scope of TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland, organized under the management of ROKETSAN, the team won the Most Original Design award.
Design Inspiration and New Goals
Team captain Muhammet Efe Bağdigen stated that they were inspired by the tubercles found on whale fins during the design phase of the rocket.
Bağdigen stated that they want to build upon this year's success and aim to apply for international competitions to gain experience.
