US President Donald Trump is preparing to honor six prominent technology executives, including Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Sergey Brin, Lisa Su, Michael Dell, and Satya Nadella, with national medals.
Recipients of the Medals
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Alphabet co-founder Sergey Brin, and AMD CEO Lisa Su will be awarded the National Medal of Science.
Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella have earned the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

White House Spokesperson Liz Huston emphasized that the award recipients have made significant contributions to the development of the United States in the fields of science and technology.
Education and Research Support
The Trump administration plans to allocate more than one hundred million dollars in financial resources to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.
Additionally, it was announced that one hundred million dollars in computing credits will be provided to researchers through the National Compute platform.
Artificial Intelligence and Voluntary Oversight
Ahead of the summit, technology executives reached a consensus on a voluntary framework that involves working with independent auditors for advanced artificial intelligence models.
While Trump supports industry self-regulation instead of new strict federal regulations, he signed an order regarding the designation of artificial intelligence as superintelligence.
