Vietnam Journal of Science and Technology Announces International Goals
Steps to elevate the journal to a prestigious international position were discussed at a high-level meeting held in Hanoi.
During a working session held in Hanoi with the participation of Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Associate Professor Dr. Tran Trung Tinh, the goals of the Vietnam Journal of Science and Technology to become a prestigious international journal were discussed.
Working Session in Hanoi
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Associate Professor Dr. Tran Trung Tinh held a working session with the Vietnam Journal of Science and Technology, which operates under the ministry.
Ministry officials, department representatives, and all staff members of the journal attended the meeting.
Post-Merger Developments
Editor-in-Chief Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang stated that the journal, established through the merger of two long-standing media organizations, has continued its publishing activities without interruption.
Aimed at serving state management, the journal has strengthened its content and successfully reflected sector policies and guidelines.
2026 Publishing Activities
In the first nine months of 2026, the journal published approximately 500 policy communication articles related to the management areas of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Additionally, six of the journal's scientific publications managed to be included in the list of journals meeting Vietnamese scientific standards.
International Integration Goals
The journal management plans to complete the application process for an English-language publication to be submitted to Scopus or Web of Science databases by 2030.
Deputy Minister Tran Trung Tinh requested the prompt implementation of the international integration directive so that the journal can gain global prestige.
