Vietnam Reached Over 3,100 International Publications on Scopus in September 2026
The Ministry of Science and Technology announced its activities for September 2026, sharing data on the number of international publications in the Scopus database and growth figures in the technology sector.
At a press conference held by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Hanoi, it was announced that as of September 2026, Vietnam achieved 3,131 international publications in the Scopus database, while registering significant growth rates in the fields of digital transformation, postal services, and technology.
International Publications and Digital Data
According to the data released by the Ministry of Science and Technology, as of September 2026, Vietnam reached a total of 3,131 international publications on the Scopus database.
Total transactions conducted through the National Data Integration and Sharing Platform surpassed 4.86 billion transaction volumes from its launch in 2020 to September 15, 2026.
Postal Sector and Digital Signatures
It was reported that the postal sector's revenues in September 2026 are estimated at 9,260 billion VND, showing a 22 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, the number of issued digital signature certificates reached 34.575 million, revealing that 49.96 percent of the adult population aged 15-65 possesses a digital signature.
Technology Sector and Domain Name Developments
It was stated that the digital technology sector's revenues in September are estimated at 770,766 billion VND, recording a 36 percent year-on-year increase.
While the number of active national .vn domain names reached 703,236 as of September 15, the IPv6 adoption rate stood at 67 percent, ranking second in Southeast Asia.
Information Systems and Foreign Relations
The Ministry launched the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Information System on September 11, aiming to support data management throughout the lifecycle of tasks.
Within the scope of foreign relations, Minister Vu Hai Quan accompanied visits to Russia and France, taking steps for cooperation in quantum technology and artificial intelligence.
